January poems
Published Again!
Near-born
Twittering from tree
To tree, bouncing on foetus
Branches – ‘Spring is here!’
Swoon
With every swoon of the clock-hand,
Another strand of your snooze-
Scented hair slips onto your face.
It bends,
Slaps the pillow.
If only my words
Could fall into place
Just as easily.
Just those few words.
Imagine the sleep
I could then have.
Weapons
I am the paper,
I make the pen bleed.
I am the pen,
I make the paper breath.
Get Knotted
Oak statues, they carve
Themselves into the soil, they
Pierce through the ground, they
Scratch the sky, all the
While entangling loose, limp hearts,
Forever knotted.
Valentine’s poems
Valentine’s Day looms, so here’s a breif selection of some of my more, a-hem, romantic works. Enjoy! 🙂
January poems
Slouching, a poem
Limp fog dangles over
Street lights and rolling
Headlights, in brittle,
Soot-like night.
Pin-top buildings pierce their
Stillness through the fog’s
Hunches, slipping down walls
Like melting snow.
The tabletop city stirs
As the cloth-fog becomes
Wrenched away for its
Sun-burst wash.
