Timely Death, a poem

Flowers strap themselves
Onto iron gates,
Ready for their decay,

Three months for the sun
To bleed their tangled
Rainbow fellowship
Dry,

Three months for the moon
To squeeze their sweet thickness
Into brittle sticks,

Three months to remember the
Hurtling car,
Sprawling body,
Screams in-between,

All of three seconds.
