The Swallow in the Hollow

In a yawning hollow,
A sleepy swallow
Snuggles deeper
Into leafy sheets.

Detached from its Africa-bound clan,
The swallow goes for the cosy approach.

The hollow makes its
Beardy snow
Only grow
Round its mouth,

Letting the swallow
Safely breath forth,
All winter long,
A feathery heartbeat.
